SeG Kapital takes the protection of your personal data seriously. This policy explains what data we process when you use this website or contact our office, on what legal basis, for how long, and what rights you have under the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) and the German Federal Data Protection Act (BDSG).

For any question about this policy or about your data, write to the address above marked for the attention of the data protection contact.
3. Data we process
Server log data. When you load a page our hosting provider automatically records the requested URL, date and time, referrer, browser and operating system version, and a shortened IP address. This is necessary to deliver the site and to keep it secure.
Enquiry data. If you send an enquiry we process the name, email address, telephone number and message you provide, plus the area of interest you select.
Saved residences and preferences. Residences you save and your cookie choice are stored locally in your own browser. They are not transmitted to us.
4. Purposes and legal bases
Delivering and securing the website: our legitimate interest in a functioning, secure service (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR).
Responding to your enquiry and preparing a possible mandate or transaction: performance of a contract or pre-contractual steps at your request (Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR).
Analytics, performance and advertising cookies: only on the basis of your consent (Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR and § 25(1) TTDSG), which you may withdraw at any time.
Retaining commercial and tax records: compliance with a legal obligation (Art. 6(1)(c) GDPR).
5. Recipients
We share personal data only where necessary: with our hosting and email providers acting as processors under Art. 28 GDPR, with professional advisors bound by confidentiality, and with authorities where we are legally required to do so. We do not sell personal data. Where a processor is located outside the EU/EEA, transfers are covered by the European Commission’s Standard Contractual Clauses or an adequacy decision.
6. Retention
Server logs are deleted or anonymised within 30 days. Enquiry correspondence is kept for as long as needed to deal with your request and for up to three years afterwards to defend against legal claims. Records subject to commercial or tax retention duties are kept for six or ten years as required by German law.
7. Your rights
You have the right to access your data (Art. 15), to rectification (Art. 16), to erasure (Art. 17), to restriction of processing (Art. 18), to data portability (Art. 20), and to object to processing based on legitimate interests (Art. 21). Where processing is based on consent you may withdraw it at any time with effect for the future.
You also have the right to lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority, in particular the Berlin Commissioner for Data Protection and Freedom of Information.
8. Cookies
Only strictly necessary cookies are set before you make a choice. Everything else runs only after you consent. See the Cookie Policy for the categories and how to change your decision.
9. Security
This site is served over TLS and we apply appropriate technical and organisational measures to protect personal data against loss, misuse and unauthorised access. No internet transmission can be guaranteed to be completely secure.
10. Changes
We may update this policy to reflect changes to the website or to legal requirements. The date at the top of this page shows when it was last revised.
